Mother Daughter, mixed media, 48" x 100," 2020
This work was created during quarantine, in which the collaboration provided a time for reconnection and solace between a mother and daughter. “Mother” (left) is the process of transaction. A mother teaching her daughter. A Creator teaching Her creation. The task is labored over, resulting in interwoven harmony. “Daughter” (right) is the response. An attempt of union, yet edges fray—an acknowledgement of loss, growth and reconciliation. |
