Continuing the investigation of place, these plant studies provide one way to examine the biotic properties of a landscape. Within a landscape, a diversity of vegetation is present. As a result, this vegetation reflects the surrounding conditions of an area. This makes the composition of plants within an area distinctive, highlighting the irreplaceable role they hold in characterizing a landscape. Within these prints, the vegetation of Spokane is examined, in which the plants are used to capture the unique composition of flora present in different places within the area.
